Dental Insurance FAQ's

When is your provider status changing with dental insurances?

Beginning July 1st, 2023, MarVista Dental will be out-of-network with all insurance providers. As a courtesy, we are happy to handle all forms and submissions of your dental insurance claims in a timely manner.

What type of insurances will you accept after July 1st, 2023?

We accept all PPO dental insurance policies.

What type of payment options will be available?

We accept credit card, check, cash, CareCredit and we also have an in-office plan available.

How will payment for my dental services work?

Please note that some insurance companies such as Delta Dental, predetermine patient reimbursement to be paid to the patient and not the provider. If your insurance company chooses to reimburse the patient directly, then you will pay in full for your appointment at the time of service.

How long will it take for my dental insurance to reimburse me?

Most insurance companies take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks to provide reimbursement for services. If you have questions about your reimbursement, we recommend reaching out to your insurance company directly.

How can I find out how much my insurance will be reimbursing me?

For larger services, we can help you with sending a pre authorization to your insurance to find out exactly how much they will be reimbursing you. We also will provide you with a copy of your treatment plan which you can use to contact your insurance with any questions.

Why are you changing your provider status with Delta Dental?

-Delta Dental has NOT raised the rates that they pay their dentists in over 10 years.

-On December 30th, 2022, the California Dental Association filed a complaint against Delta Dental with the State of California’s Superior Court for: breach of duty of care, breach of loyalty of duty, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, breach of contract and declaratory relief.
